Update on Nigerian Homophobic bill.

14 Nov

The Nigeria-Same-Sex-Marriage-Bill criminalizing same sex marriage and stipulating 14 years imprisonment for any one who engages in same sex relationship has passed through the second reading in the Nigerian House of Representatives. The House Speaker Aminu Tambuwal has referred the bill to the Committee of the Whole House for final consideration. The bill is being packaged as a “Christmas gift” to Nigerians.

Please help sign and share this petition urging legislators not to pass the bill into law . We also urge Nigerian President, President Goodluck Jonathan not to sign this bill into law if passed.

Every Nigerian deserves the same right every other Nigerian enjoy irrespective of class, sex, gender or sexual orientation. Everyone is entitled to human rights and LGBT RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS.

Please sign, share and spread the word. Your solidarity is appreciated, Together We Can! LINK TO PETITION
